I wonder if the issue is a situation of limited data. Is the alignment real, or just a matter of too few data points? Does the evidence even support the possibility of a ninth planet? That issue aside: if the ninth planet does exist and is discovered, will that force the IAU to reconsider the current definition of planet or offer a near confirmation of the definition?

I grew up in southeast Missouri just south of New Madrid in Hayti. Of course I wasn't alive when the big one hit. This was a historic quake, that caused the Mississippi river to run backwards for over 24 hours. Bells rang in Texas. The whole area was changed. New Madrid sits way below where it originally was. Quakes were common in the area when I was growing up. To find what happened after and how things changed, Google it. You will find it pretty unbelievable.

I think, ultimately, humans will NEVER reach even the nearest stars. From just a physical and mental health perspective , we won't be able to survive the trip even if we could reach 50% light velocity.
